Company Our client is a privately owned, high-end building products supplier that has renowned product and has already established itself as an industry leader in the decorative surfaces industry in Australia. This role is critical for the continual growth and development of the company’s expansion plans. They continue to introduce new and innovative products to gain further market share within Australia. Role As the Account Manager, your primary responsibility is to maintain and develop a territory consisting of Cabinet Makers, kitchen Retailers & Stone Masons in Melbourne's Western Region. This territory will predominantly be focusing on West Melbourne down to Geelong, so residing in or around this area will be ideal. There will also be some regional visits to places like Warrnambool, Ballarat & Horsham from time to time. Your role will be predominantly focused on maintaining and developing your established territory of accounts. You will ideally possess a a savvy approach to sales, which will also see you unearth new opportunities within the Residential Construction space. This opportunity would suit a dynamic and career driven salesperson that has good exposure to the building products and/or construction sales space and is looking to grow within a business long term. Due to the strength of the training and mentorship available in this position, our client is also open to somebody less experienced that has the right attitude and a willingness to be trained and developed. Skills & Experience We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate the following skills and experience; Strong presentation skills with an ambitious & outgoing personality Experience in Stone and/or Decorative Surfaces is highly desired Existing relationships with at least one the desired customer segments in the description above Experience within building products/construction sales is a must have Proven track record in sales and overachieving targets Good technical understanding of the construction industry in general High degree of energy, be self-motivated and desire to be rewarded for your hard efforts Stable track record of employment and desire to move into a long-term career role In return they can offer you a stable, friendly team environment to work in.
